Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026. This policy explains how CULTUR3 collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information, and the choices available to you.
1. Who We Are and Scope
CULTUR3 is responsible as controller for the personal information described in this policy. This policy applies when you visit our website, contact us, apply for or hold membership, join a waiting list, purchase or use a ticket, attend an event, appear in event media, or otherwise interact with us. It does not govern an independent venue, payment provider, social platform, or other third party acting for its own purposes. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to info@cultur3.co.uk.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect: identity and contact details, including name, title, email address, mobile number, city, date of birth, and social handle; membership and profile details, including gender, photograph, application answers, status, preferences, eligibility, access, and the names or handles of friends you identify; transaction and ticket details, including products, prices, discounts, booking references, payment status, attendance, and event access (we do not need to receive your full card number from our payment processor); communications and support records; marketing choices and records of consent or opt-out; event photographs, video, audio, security, and incident information; and technical and usage data such as IP address, device, browser, referral, session, security, cookie, analytics, and interaction information. We may create records or inferences reasonably necessary to administer membership, prevent abuse, allocate access, and operate events.
3. How We Obtain Information
We collect information directly from you, from your use of our website and communications, and from transactions and event attendance. We may also receive information from a person who identifies you as a friend or attendee, payment and ticketing providers, venues, event partners, communications providers, security personnel, social platforms where you interact with us, and public sources where reasonably necessary and lawful. If you give us another person's information, you should have a lawful reason to do so and tell them that you have shared it and where they can find this policy.
4. Purposes and Lawful Bases
We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis. This may include: taking steps at your request and performing a contract, to process applications, authenticate members, provide tickets, take payment, administer entry, and respond to service requests; our legitimate interests, to select and manage membership, curate and operate events, communicate non-marketing administration, improve services, keep records, protect people and systems, prevent fraud and misuse, establish or defend legal claims, and conduct proportionate analytics, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; consent, for electronic marketing, non-essential storage or access technologies, and other optional uses where consent is appropriate; compliance with legal obligations, including accounting, tax, licensing, safety, equality, consumer, data protection, and law-enforcement requirements; and, where necessary, the protection of vital interests. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Membership Decisions
Membership and access decisions may take account of the information in an application, eligibility, prior interactions, capacity, safety, community standards, and event requirements. We may use administrative tools to organise or flag information, but we will not make a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated means unless permitted by law and accompanied by required safeguards. Membership selection remains discretionary, but this does not limit your data protection rights or permit unlawful discrimination.
6. Marketing and Service Messages
We may send operational messages reasonably necessary for an application, account, payment, ticket, event, security matter, or legal obligation. We send marketing by email, SMS, or similar channels only where permitted by law, including where we have valid consent or a lawful customer relationship exemption. Consent is voluntary. You can opt out using the link or instructions in a message, by replying STOP to an SMS where supported, or by contacting us. Reply HELP for SMS assistance. We may keep minimal suppression information so that we can honour an opt-out. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary non-marketing communications.
7. Sharing Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We may share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers and partners that support our operations, including website hosting, databases and storage, payment processing, ticketing, email and SMS delivery, analytics, customer support, professional advisers, insurers, photographers and production teams, security providers, venues, performers, promoters, and event partners. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law; to regulators, courts, law enforcement, payment networks, or fraud-prevention bodies; to protect rights, safety, property, events, or systems; in connection with an actual or proposed financing, reorganisation, sale, transfer, or combination of all or part of our operations; or with your direction or consent. Some recipients act as our processors and others as independent controllers under their own notices.
8. International Transfers
Some suppliers or recipients may store or access personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted transfer occurs, we will use a lawful transfer mechanism as required, such as UK adequacy regulations, an approved contractual safeguard, or another permitted exception, and apply supplementary measures where appropriate. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your information, subject to legitimate confidentiality restrictions.
9. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for compatible legal, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, and record-keeping purposes. The period depends on the nature and sensitivity of the information, membership or customer relationship, event lifecycle, legal limitation periods, applicable legal duties, unresolved issues, and security risk. We may retain transaction and contractual records for longer than active profile information where required for tax, accounting, or legal claims, and may retain a minimal suppression record to honour marketing opt-outs. When information is no longer required, we will delete or anonymise it, subject to secure backup cycles and lawful holds.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure, access, or destruction, and limit access according to business need. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You should use appropriate device security, protect access links and credentials, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies, pixels, scripts, tags, local or session storage, and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary for security, access, checkout, load balancing, preferences, or a service you request. Others may support audience measurement, performance, and marketing. Where the law requires consent, non-essential technologies should be used only in accordance with the choice presented to you, and you may withdraw that choice through the available settings. Blocking some technologies may affect optional features. Third-party services may also process information under their own privacy notices.
12. Event Photography and Recording
We may process event photographs, video, and audio for event operation, security, incident handling, editorial, archival, and promotional purposes on the basis of legitimate interests, consent where appropriate, or another lawful basis. We consider the context and reasonable expectations of attendees and provide the further choices described in our Purchase Policy. We will assess objections to directly identifiable promotional use in light of the circumstances and applicable law; incidental crowd or background capture may not always be avoidable or removable.
13. Your Rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights to access a copy of your personal information; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; request erasure or restriction; object to processing based on legitimate interests; object at any time to direct marketing; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw consent. These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. To exercise a right, email info@cultur3.co.uk. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
14. Age Restriction
Membership and event access are intended for people aged 21 or over. We do not knowingly invite applications from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us contrary to this restriction, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our activities, suppliers, technology, or the law. The current version and its last-updated date will be published here. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent before applying a materially different use to information already collected.
16. Contact
For privacy questions, complaints, or rights requests, contact CULTUR3 at info@cultur3.co.uk. Please do not send unnecessary identity documents or sensitive information by ordinary email; we will tell you if further verification is reasonably required.
